In a world that often champions morality and good deeds as the ultimate measure of a person, the notion that "good people" might not automatically gain entry into heaven can be a perplexing and even unsettling concept. We are frequently told that being kind, honest, generous, and compassionate are virtues that will naturally lead to a positive outcome, both in this life and the next. Yet, from a Christian theological perspective, the pathway to eternal life isn't paved with good intentions or righteous living alone. It is, unequivocally, paved with Jesus Christ.
